We wonder, "Who Am I?" and ponder what life is about. We search everywhere for answers, but the answer lies within.

Who am I?

Why am I here?

What should I do with my life?

The Purpose Driven Life

Life purpose, having a purpose in life, answers all three questions. Without purpose, life lacks meaning and offers little fulfillment. It's no wonder we ask these questions. They are central to a happy and easy life.

These three questions are fundamental inquiries we all wonder about at some time in our lives. We tend to look for answers from religion, self-help books, and the latest popular guru. Lacking answers we may bury the questions beneath work, play, and relationships.

We generally find, however, that we can never completely cease to wonder and search for answers.

The problem is that we often are looking for answers in the wrong places. External sources are useful for information and identifying processes for reaching greater understanding. But the answers are within each of us already.

Individual Uniqueness Drives Purpose

We each possess, from birth, a fundamental identity that separates us from others. These characteristics do not render us better or worse than others, simply different--with a unique ability to offer excellence, in some form, to humanity.

Life Purpose and Self Awareness

Life satisfaction comes easily and readily when our lives are filled with purpose and meaning. With self awareness of our uniqueness, our strengths and the special abilities we have that can contribute to humanity, we answer the three questions of life. The answers are within, though often deep within.

At first thought, it might seem that self understanding should come easily since we've spent our entire lives in the company of ourselves. However, environment, culture, and upbringing seem to conspire to keep self understanding a secret, something to discover only after an arduous journey.

Born with special abilities and characteristics, we submit to the teachings of our parents, teachers, coaches, friends, and culture. Our uniqueness is covered, layer upon layer, by the characteristics treasured, honored, and acceptable to our surroundings.

Tools For Self Understanding

Meditation is the key starting point for the process of self understanding. It is only with a quiet mind that we can clearly hear the inner messages of who we are.

Recalling activities and situations which bring great joy will stimulate the process of self understanding, as will recalling what we did for fun when we were youngsters. With the understanding of our unique assets, those traits that enable us to excel, we will naturally progress to our purpose in life--that vocation which utilizes our strengths in pursuit of life purpose.
