Use the energy of the color blue to aid in the healing of the physical self. Blue's connection to the throat chakra and communication opens you to healing with words.

Blue is rare in nature. The sky appears blue because of the way the light bounces of water droplets. Jays and bluebirds do not have blue feathers; their color comes from light refracting off those feathers.

Healing and communicating in a true manner, do not have to be rare. Although humans are surrounding by the color with clothing and décor, one may not regularly attune with the deep emotions associated with blue.

Use Blue for Healing and Better Communication

Blue is a cool color, linking it with calming, healing energy.

Dress entirely in blue, whether that means a navy blue suit and light blue dress shirt or blue jeans and a blue sweatshirt. If you can, wear blue socks and undergarments.

Blue is an all-purpose healing color. If you have been ill, or even have been feeling a bit “off,” allow the energies of blue to promote health.

If you would like to imbue the communicative aspects of the throat chakra, wear a blue scarf or tie connecting this chakra to its representational color. Julie Soskin, in How Psychic Are You? 76 Techniques to Boost Your Innate Power (Penguin Books, 2002), connects sky blue to self-confidence, turquoise with a tranquil attitude, pale blue to superficial thoughts, midnight blue with enhanced intuition, and navy blue with protective energy at work.

Write a Card to Heal Relationships

Write a card or make a call to a friend or family member with whom you’ve been out of touch. Although you may feel that your relationship is in tatters because of poor communication, make this the time to mend those gaps.

If you are too nervous about taking this step, register for an online social networking group. Post your profile and see who is connected to you. When you are linked with people you haven’t seen for a while, send them a personal email and see if the connection develops into something richer.

Also consider sending greeting cards for birthdays and holidays through the mail. Yes, they are more expensive than electronic cards and you may be concerned about the resources they use, but consider the thrill for someone to receive something in the mail besides bills and catalogs. Keep a stock of basic birthday, thank you, and sympathy cards to send when needed.

Friend Therapy

Get together with a friend you see on a regular basis to chat over coffee or while taking a walk. You could establish guidelines for a gabfest – one person talks for five minutes without interruption and then the other person talks for five minutes. Make it clear that neither person is responsible for solving the other person’s issues.

Explain the throat chakra’s connection to the color blue and trade off wearing a blue scarf to inspire you to speak truly. The scarf can also act as a visual reminder to the listener to allow the speaker the freedom to communicate.

Introduce colors such as yellow, indigo, and white to enhance the personal power, intuition, and pure intentions of the speakers.

This isn’t an opportunity to complain about one another. Use this time to speak about personal dreams, issues being worked through, and other topics that you often wish you had someone to talk to about.

Use the energy of the color blue to evoke clarity in your communication with those around you. It is a calm, cool color, used to heal physical, emotional, and spiritual imbalances. Use your words to heal yourself and others instead of inflicting harm.
