Seven Laws of LifeManifestation Principles
Hermes 'the messenger' brought to the world, seven laws to abide by. Not as mandatory to follow but as a guide for those ready to master reality.
The principles stand the test of time, as they continue to aid those who are ready to hear. These ancient wisdom principles teach how to align with divine elements and abilities to dominate moods, control environment as well as to manifest into life the desires of the heart. The following quotations were derived from The Kybalion: The Three Initiates: The Principle of MentalismThe principle of mentalism is described in the following quote: "The all is mind; the universe is mental." The universe is understood by philosophers and quantum physicists to be nothing more than a vast creation of the mind. Sages of old have passed down in secrecy that every thought becomes a reality within the mind of the all. All that which is within the mind of the all is what reality is made of. Hermetists believe this to be a mental universe. The Principle of CorrespondenceThe principle of correspondence was described as follows: "As above so below; as below, so above". Everything that occurs, according to Hermetists, does so in relation to the all. What happens within, happens without. What occurs above, occurs below. When a thought is contemplated upon, it appears in reality; all realities in one form or another. Nothing escapes the law. Creator creates and it becomes. The Principle of VibrationThe following quote describes the principle of vibration: "Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates." Hermetists believed that all of life is life within the all. Vibration is the means by which creation appears in higher or lower form. Frequency permeates through all things. Masters have used this principle to dominate and control the elements (i.e. weather, events, circumstances). Science agrees that all is within motion. Quantum physicists agree that at the subatomic level, all that exists is energy in motion. The Principle of PolarityThe principle of polarity is described as the following quote: "Everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled." When a master Hermetist focuses on one pole and neutralizes the undesirable pole, it is said that he masters conscious manifestation. It is understood today in many spiritual circles that all it takes to consciously create reality is to have a desire, focus and determination. The Principle of RhythmThe principle of polarity is described as the following quote: "Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates." The Hermetist master learns to rise above the pendulum swing, thereby allowing the desired to occur and the undesired to remain in the unconscious. The Hermetist uses the flow of rhythm and is not used by it. This is what is meant by going with the flow of the natures rhythm and not against it. The Principle of Cause and EffectThe principle of cause and effect was described as follows: "Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause; everything happens according to law; chance is but a name or law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the law." A Hermetic master knows to become at greater cause by rising higher in vibration, to the higher plane of causation. A master is consciously aware of every cause creating each and every effect. Raising vibration also becomes a cause which will produce an even greater effect. According to some physicists and many spiritualists, our outside world complete with effects, is just a mirror of the cause created by the person experiencing such effects. The Principle of GenderThe principle of gender was described in this matter, in the following quote: "Gender is in everything; everything has its masculine and feminine principles; gender manifests on all planes". Masculine and feminine refer to a giving and receiving of exchange in every creation that which is manifested. Thought represents giving, and taking it in represents the receiving and allowing for an idea to manifest into reality. Hermetists teach their students to look within for all answers. Hermetists teach to unify their masculine and feminine qualities in order to rise above any and all polar opposites. Unification and rising above is represented by the resurrected phoenix in alchemy, which was considered one of Herme's (also known as Thoth) creations. Sources:
