Colors you choose for your wardrobe, the office, and your home all make statements about your personality.
Color, any color, possesses energy that affects the surrounding environment. The world is made up of magnetic fields that penetrate the body in the form of light waves which carry many different therapeutic effects. Internal organs and general health are all subject to these light and color vibrations. Color of the ChakrasChakras are energy centers in the body and have a color associated with each of the seven centers. When meditating, focusing on the chakra color attributed to that area will help balance the energy and have positive, healing effects on your overall health.
Colors in the WardrobeColors you wear can enhance or depress your mood. They can affect your energy levels because color is absorbed by wavelengths of light that passes through the skin into the body. For instance, if you feel over active the color green can slow you down. Blue is a good color for mental fatigue. Wear bright white when you want to consider new projects. Purple is for peaceful resolve. Yellow will allow your true self to shine through. Orange can bring you out of a depression and pink lets you feel love. If you are experiencing feelings of bein out-of-control put on an item of black clothing. Colors of the SoulEach person has a color that expresses their inner soul and one that indicates their outward personality. A good way to find your colors is to collect bits of paper in different hues, paint swatches are also good, and lay out the colors on a plain white background. Find a quiet time when you won't be disturbed and concentrate on the samples of color. Pick the two that attract you and that you like above all the rest. Lay them aside on a separate sheet of white paper. Now, decide which should be first and which should be second. The first one is most likely your personality color and the second your deep, inner self or soul color. Colors of ConfrontationYou will notice, if you do the exercise above, that there are some colors you truly don't like. Colors that suppress your good mood or make you angry. Don't discount them. Every color vibration has an effect either mentally or physically on the body. You may be rejecting a color because it brings up a painful memory, or because it comes too close to something you fear. A visualization exercise outlined in the Natural Healing Section of Enhancing Your Mind, Body and Spirit suggests that you find why a particular color is challenging by; "Imagine breathing in the color and then dispersing it through your body. Notice what happens; where the color wants to go, whether any part of the body completely rejects it, and what thoughts, feelings and memories come up." Working with the color in this manner may clear the way to better mental health. Source:
